THROWBACK: Childhood Memories!

The fun of playing outside, waiting for our favorite cartoon characters to show on the television, all the wounds that we get from playing, all the hampas, kurot and palo that we get from our parents for not sleeping in the afternoon and all the memories that we shared with our childhood bff’s is what makes us who we are now and what makes our childhood memories extra special. Everytime I remember my childhood memories, it never fails to put a smile on my face. It’s like everything just happened yesterday.

Childhood memories are like dreams that stayed with you after you woke up. Dreams that sometimes make me wish I could sleep and go back again. A life with no worries, no stress, even no wifi, no gadgets, no Instagram, Facebook or anything. But the fun and excitement we had, it was priceless.

To share you to you some of my childhood experiences, here are the list that you might relate with and you can share yours too. Read it and have a happy trip down to your memory lane!

1.) The happiness you feel kapag nabuhay mo lahat ng kakampi mo sa Ten-twenty

I remember whenever we play ten-twenty, there’s always a forming of a family baby yung unang titira, followed by the sister, mother and up to grandmother. And also the creating of the rules like, No repeat! No passing, No palengke, No flying, No radio, No tira-tira, and in the end of the game there’s no winner sa dami niyong mga rules. And of course the stages, start with the original ten-twenty, palaman tinapay, tinikling, close feet and many more.

2.) You died a little whenever your mother says “Ilalaga ko yang teks mo at ipapakain ko sayo”

Not just teks, but also the pogs, jolens, etc. We all have that one favorite pamato with pektus pag tumira plus the tamang ayos. And the pressure you feel whenever your playmate say ‘Bet ko pati pato pananggulo’ and when you won, everyone will follow you saying ‘boy balato boy’.

3.) Pamalo Starter pack

My mama’s pamalo starter pack are belt, slipper, hanger and my most hated walis tingting. With matching kurot pa with pilipit. And the most painful part is yung iyak na iyak ka na but your mother say ‘sige umiyak ka pa nang paluin pa kita lalo’

4.) That ‘pang-artistahing notebook’

We all know that kind of notebook! When you’re pasuko na sa studies mo, but you’ll just have to look on Marian’s smile in Dyesebel and you feel motivated na.

5.) An Art Box that once made you feel like you're an artist

These low quality art materials made me sikat in my elementary days. Feel na feel ang pagiging artist!

6.) Instant Braces!

Today's kids will never know about us using this foil from our favorite Hany bar and Hany coin. With matching laway laway pa. It's like freebies from our all time favorite Hany bar.

7.) This Wonderful Brick game!

This Brick Game is our first gadget on our childhood days! This is where Tetris came from. Plus the sound effects. Aww I miss this one!

8.) Magic Can Telephone!

Before all the telephones and new gadgets we have now, there was this string and can telephone that made our childhood extra awesome. I remember the first time I used it, I was really amazed like how did that happen? I miss this one especially because it was used by my favorite Wonder pets.

Those are just some of my childhood memories. It's great to remember memories whether it's good or bad, because they were so much a part of you.

"We didn't realize we were making memories and we just knew we were having fun."

So as much as possible, in everything you do it is important that you are having fun. Someday everything will be just memories so make sure that you're making a good one.
